A Retainer Service
Website consultancy, support & management for online business, from start-up to corporate
The Small Room service is 100% retainer
Paid monthly, in advance. The initial retainer is fixed for twelve months, then three months notice rolling forward.
No fees are charged for the initial design & setup
This cost is covered by the twelve-month retainer.
No further up-front charges
Other than the agreed monthly cost. The exception are yearly subscriptions to specialist third-party plugins for essential operations (i.e for e-commerce etc). Always discussed before purchases are made.
Hosting, design, x2 email accounts (2GB each, with more space available), full 24/7 security, updating, backup.
Full access to the site for editing provided to the client if required. Otherwise, all updates carried out promptly by Small Room, at no extra cost.
WordPress is the CMS of choice
This is based on twenty-plus years of positive experience.
Hosting can be with Small Room
Or elsewhere, but the host space must meet certain requirements.
Either purchased and managed on behalf of the client, transferred in, or simply pointed from their originating server to the host space. If purchased by Small Room, they remain 100% the property of the client, and are billed either annually, bi-annually, or longer.
Support by email and telephone
Visual tutorial guides are also supplied. Updates to any site can be sent by email, and assets transferred via Dropbox or similar.
The website is the property of the client
Once the initial twelve-month period has passed. This can then be transported elsewhere quite easily by means of backup and export, should the client wish to change hosting and/or management.
Payment is always in advance
Usually on the first of each month, electronically.
